What we do
1. Audit
We work out what actually needs to happen — what's in front of you, what's underneath it, what's been missed. You get it in writing, in the order it needs doing. Two to four weeks. £3,500 fixed, introductory rate for our first three audits.
2. Solution Design
Then the harder part: deciding what comes first. Projects rarely fail for want of a plan — they fail because everything is a priority, or two people at the top want different things and nobody has said so out loud. We put the order on paper, and we'll tell you when we disagree with it.
3. Implementation & Oversight
Then we put the wheels in motion, and stay while they're turning. Handover is the part most people get wrong, so we work with whoever inherits it until they can hold it without us in the room. Then we can stay, or go. It's up to you.
What we've done
Leaseholder litigation
After Grenfell, neither of us had a background in construction law. We learned it, then organised litigation on behalf of 41 leaseholders — a third of the building — against one of the UK's largest building firms. The 41 had nothing in common but an address: for some it was an inconvenience, for others their entire savings. Holding them together was the job. Concluded early 2026, achieving the objectives set at the outset.
Building safety remediation
The building then entered a full safety remediation programme. We are appointed by the building's management company to oversee the operational side: contractor coordination, programme monitoring, reporting, and holding the parties to the agreed scope. The work is ongoing.
Crossed Wires Festival
We ran the VIP programme for the 2026 festival — the UK's largest podcast festival, held across Sheffield each summer. Structure and on-the-ground support for commercial participants and talent, across four days and multiple venues, where nothing could be rescheduled and every problem had to be solved in the moment.
Who we are
Carlo Toller
Carlo Toller spent his career as a Chief Operations Officer in financial services, where he defined and delivered the listing of two investment vehicles on the London and Luxembourg Stock Exchanges. That is the discipline he brings here: building the governance, structure and financial case that institutional readers — funders, boards, regulators, government departments — will accept.
Fliss Demir
Fliss Demir spent ten years at executive level in news organisations, where the agenda changed daily and the business still had to run. She was integral to the incorporation of a digital news organisation in 2019, and was then Managing Director at Systems Tailor Made and Tailor Made Excel, delivering bespoke software to clients in the UK and US.
They met in 2015 as volunteer directors of a residential management company, and have worked together since.
